But dirty money long predates such influences. Without unified rules governing global finance, outlaws will always exploit disparate legal systems to stash the proceeds of their crimes." (FOREIGN POLICY) This article examines the effects money laundering has on financial institutions and global economies, and offers international cooperation as a means of defeating, or at least curbing, the flow of dirty money.
