"Allahu akbar! It has become a drumbeat, a soundtrack of atrocity. Allahu akbar! God is great! Not a celebration of divine bounty and mercy. Instead, their antithesis, the relentless coda of terror. Not just any kind of terror, but a terror sprung from a very particular and poisonous fount--militant Islam, the central challenge of our age." (AMERICAN SPECTATOR) The author opines that "the war is not on 'terror.' The war is on militant Islam. Like the totalitarian ideologies of the 20th century that strove for cruel hegemony, militant Islam must be identified, acknowledged, and defeated utterly. Until we come to grips with, and act on, that truth, we sentence ourselves to hearing that refrain over and over again."
