Summary, etc. GLOBAL WARMING -- "A report issued by the U.N.-sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change this past January [2001] predicts that global temperatures are rising at a faster rate than before believed....The U.N. Climate Change panel's report stresses that global warming results from human behavior. The implicit challenge is clear: Just as we have the ability to heat the planet, we also have the ability to reform our production practices and to restore the globe." (WITNESS) This article reviews basic global warming knowledge and investigates reasons why some of the world nations hesitate in implementing plans to reverse climate change.
