520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. "Abstinence pledges--signed commitments that teenagers will not have sex before marriage--might be less than effective, a recent study shows." (LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER) This article reveals that "more than half the teens in a recent study said a person should still be considered abstinent after engaging in oral sex," and suggests that teenagers who take abstinence pledges, while having sex later than non-pledge takers, "are less likely to use protection when they first have sex, getting swept up in the moment without being adequately prepared."
