520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. "If we followed the advice of out nation's experts in public health, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy prevention, we would join together to ensure our nation's young people learned that abstinence is the most effective way of preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs, also referred to as STDs); that contraceptives are a must every time they have sex and that knowing how to use them correctly is incredibly important; that masturbation is not a dirty word; and that sexuality is a healthy and natural part of life. In other words, they would receive comprehensive sex education." (THE REPORTER) The author argues that federally-funded abstinence-only-until-marriage sex education programs are flawed and will only serve to increase teen pregnancy.
