"It's often difficult to distinguish racist punk rock and Nazi heavy metal from the non-racist forms of those genres. Lyrics get garbled amid the sonic assault. So racism, camouflaged, sneaks into a punk and metal world that already aims to shock. And the more widespread the racism becomes, the more acceptable it can seem to listeners." (THE RECORD) This article examines how "white-power groups are candid about the objective: Racist music is the Pied Piper, focusing the frustration of angry young men like Justin Kraemer and recruiting them into the world of white supremacy.
