MOROCCO: ACTION URGED ON LEGAL CODE REFORM -- "The International Human Rights Federation (FIDH) yesterday [Jan. 14, 2001] wound down its 34th congress, the first such meeting ever held in an Arab land, with resolutions condemning human rights violations in several countries, including Morocco, the host country." (INTER PRESS SERVICE) This article analyzes the FIDH congress and examines the resolutions issued against human rights violations in Morocco and several other countries that committed human rights atrocities.
