(POLICY REVIEW) The author contends that while racial and ethnic differences are dividing points, America is actually moving toward a multiracial society with convergent values and beliefs.  WHAT IF THE US HAD A NON-WHITE MAJORITY -- "Does the prospect of a Caucasian-American minority signal a corresponding, fundamental shift in American values, politics and society? The answer, according to many social scientists and community representatives, is a resounding no." (WORLD LINK) The author contends that although America's ethnic mix is constantly evolving, even to the point where whites are no longer a majority, many feel American culture and values will remain relatively unchanged.
