As a result, the traditional liberal arts make do with fewer dollars and staff." (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER) This article summarizes how college programs seek to meet the demands of career-oriented students by restructuring their programs to offer trendy, job-specific majors, thereby creating enrollment and financial struggles for traditional liberal-arts programs.
