"If you think particulates only affect health, you couldn't be more wrong. These tiny particles known in scientific parlance as aerosols have found a haze seven times the size of India over the Indian ocean. These particles could be emanating from any source--diesel and industrial emissions, biomass burning for cooking, forest fires and even dust. And they are being blamed for everything under the sun--from altering regional climate, affection monsoon patterns to blocking sunlight and affecting agricultural yield."
