<br/><br/> "When [Gladys] Bohn died two years ago [2000], at the age of 96, family members say the funeral home first lost her body, then delivered her to the graveside in a Styrofoam-like box. Her body was later placed in a coffin, but the promised clergy and flowers never materialized. A few months later, when Bohn's family had her disinterred...they found her clothed in a hospital gown and stuffed in a vinyl bag....Although the recent gruesome goings-on at Tri-State Crematory in Noble, Ga., have horrified the nation--investigators have discovered that more than 300 corpses intended for cremation were instead strewn about the property--Bohn's family's experience and dozens of similar cases show abuse of the dead is nowhere near as rare as the reaction to the Georgia case suggests."
