"When Ka-Mook Nichols, a prominent former member of the American Indian Movement (AIM), testified last month [March 2004] that fellow activist Leonard Peltier bragged of shooting two FBI agents in cold blood, her words echoed throughout Indian country and beyond." (IN THESE TIMES) This article examines Leonard Peltier's suspected role in the murder of Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash and his conviction for the execution of two federal agents during a shootout at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The article raises questions about these two events, about Peltier's innocence and allegations of a possible federal conspiracy.
